Sometimes you need a holiday from holidaying. And, after such an amazing year of work and travel in 2015, I was in need of a holiday. So, when we were recently in Australia over Christmas, that’s just what I did!
Like Santa Claus, Daniel and I landed in Brisbane, Australia, on Christmas morning with a big red bag laden with gifts for family. Even after our 27 hour flight from London, we were still alive to celebrate with Dan’s family over Christmas brunch and hitch a ride with Cousin Matt to Byron to get festive with my side of the family. We were making the most of our first Christmas in Australia in five years.
In the two weeks that followed, we spent days relaxing by the pool and caught up with family and friends. Despite the fact that it took me a few days to adjust to the heat and humidity, it was the perfect Aussie summer…
