Our family holiday in the NT, Australia (video)

A couple, Jacqui and Daniel, stand in front of Ormiston Gorge in the West MacDonnell Ranges. The gorge is crystal clear water in a waterhole, surrounded by high rock cliffs.

If I’m really honest, I started to plan our holiday in the NT about ten years before it happened. Maybe longer. I wanted to experience as much as I could and I wanted time to connect. This wasn’t going to be our usual budget-friendly holiday!

As a born and bred Territorian, the red dust is ingrained into my very being. Our family moved inter-state before my 10th birthday, but I always had a strong sense of connection and felt a pull to go back. I wanted to show Daniel where I grew up but we got distracted and spent our never-ending honeymoon exploring other parts of the world.

A few years and two kids later, we were finally planning our two-week family holiday in the NT.

The build up was worth it. Our family holiday in the NT was the trip of our lifetime. So, come along for the journey and see the best of what the NT has to offer…

Note: This is the video that Daniel lovingly created and edited. Music was sources from a free music sourcing platform.

So, where do you start when you’re planning your holiday in the NT?

The Northern Territory in Australia has an incredible number of sacred sites and natural wonders to see and wonderful people to meet. And, if you’re planning a holiday in the NT, it’s hard to pick and choose. In the Red Centre, Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, the West MacDonnell Ranges are only some of the natural wonders that share a sacred history with our Indigenous people. And, at the Top End, Litchfield Park, Kakadu National Park and surrounds boast some of Australia’s most stunning waterfalls and ancient gorges.
