Red Dog Saloon is an American barbeque style diner that has fast service, tasty food and a hot wings challenge for the brave. The busy diner with beer garden is located in trendy Hoxton Square, opposite many bars and pubs that perimeter the square. The meat is cooked in the American smoker, imported from the USA. The salads and burgers are delicious and they restaurant claim to have award-winning smoked ribs and the best wings in London.
Pit cooked Bar-B-Q meals will set you back £12 – £17 while most of the burgers are under £10.
If you are up for it, the hot wings challenge is to eat the 6 wings made with fresh Naga Viper chillis in under 10 minutes and then survive the 5 minutes immediately after finishing with no liquids. On the other hand, The Devastator Challenge is slightly more intense with an 8 inch burger of six bacon rashers, three beef burger patties, six slices of cheese and pulled pork plus fries and shake in just ten minutes. And for your troubles? You get a T-shirt!
